In this spring studio, we will briefly demonstrate a few alternatives to Powerpoint for presentations including http://www.slides.com and using Wordpress as a presentation tool.  Unlike Powerpoint these can be easily shared with an audience before, during and after a presentation, can be used when presenting or sharing material with those not present and are user friendly and require little in the way of technical skills.  In this studio, participants will then receive guided hands-on help in creating their own presentation.  Each studio has a “challenge” asking participants to create something so it is helpful to come with an idea of what you might want to create so your work is of practical real benefit to you in the future.  In these studios, we encourage participants to also share their work with colleagues as a way to collectively learn and see how others adopt and use these tools.
