You've read through all of your Course Outlines, and know when all of your assignments are due. Now what? Where should you start finding information on all of those topics?

Wikipedia is not a scholarly resource.  In this workshop intended for students new to Library research, you'll learn the basics of using the Library website and Discovery Service to search for academic books and journal articles to support your academic assignments. We'll discuss what sort of material is suitable for academic research, what is not, and how to become a more efficient researcher - which is important when you've got multiple essays to write.

Feel free to bring along an actual assignment, so that any practice searches done during the workshop get you started on your own research.
