Z is for Zero: ZTC at TRU

This session will introduce you to ZTC (Zero Textbook Cost) and how you might consider creating a ZTC course or pathway for students through a program or credential. You'll learn why faculty engage in OER and ZTC, how other jurisdictions have adopted them, and how they help to reduce the equity gap. We will outline the process followed at TRU to start to develop two ZTC pathways, the General Studies Certificate and Associate of Science Degree. We will also outline what’s happening with individual ZTC courses at TRU, how to get your courses marked as ZTC, and how students can find them when registering for their courses.
