Brett McCollum, Chemistry Professor at Mount Royal University (Calgary, Alberta), will deliver a virtual, interactive workshop for TRU faculty on how to apply for a 3M National Teaching Fellowship (3MTF). The workshop will have a presentation, interactive components for remote participants, and it is designed to facilitate conversation. The time may change; it will be determined to avoid overlapping with other CELT-hosted events. Dr. McCollum was awarded the 3M National Teaching Fellowship in 2019. He has also earned the Nexen Scholar of Teaching and Learning and is an Apple Distinguished Educator. He focuses his scholarship on chemistry language learning, open education resources (OER), mid-career faculty development, and working in partnership with students. This is part of the annual CELT 3MTF speaker series. This session will involve information which is also relevant to preparing for other awards, and generally, to promotion and tenure applications.
