What are open textbooks? How can they help both faculty and students? How can you get started in finding and adopting an open textbook? What help is available? This workshop will provide an overview of what open textbooks are, their benefits, and their challenges. By the end of this workshop you will know more about the history and current state of open texts, how to find open texts in your subject area and discuss considerations before moving to adopt or adapt an open text into your course.
