E-portfolios are increasingly used in higher education, the public sector, private industry, and elsewhere to highlight individual and team accomplishments, and to share pertinent information and content which lives online such as various kinds of projects. They are also increasingly being used to highlight professional development and growth. In this afternoon session, participants will discuss the value of e-portfolios for professional development and growth, review examples of e-portfolios from TRU faculty and staff, and explore features of WordPress which support e-portfolios. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on practice in which they will be able to create an e-portfolio to highlight their professional and academic accomplishments at TRU. In order to make the most of the session, participants should be prepared to review some content and complete other learning activities before the session (details will be provided via email).
