Have you participated in an Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW)? If so, you’re now eligible to become a Facilitator of ISWs! The Facilitator Development Workshop (FDW) is a five-day interactive workshop designed to help participants develop and refine facilitation skills through peer feedback in a supportive environment. As in an ISW, participants of the FDW practice their teaching techniques through mini-lessons, and they also develop and enhance strategies for facilitating the group ISW process.
This workshop is ideal for anyone who wishes to facilitate future ISWs, and it will also help participants improve their facilitation skills in other group settings, such as classrooms and meetings. As well, participants have the opportunity to experiment with new teaching methods, to explore formative assessment techniques, and to receive feedback on their own teaching and facilitating skills.
Location: Thompson Rivers University, Kamloops
Trainers: David & Raymonde Tickner
