This session invites dialogue regarding institutional policy, human rights codes, and what our rights and responsibilities as educators are in these complex times. We will also consider how we collectively and individually can advocate for change and lead TRU in becoming a more inclusive, equitable environment.
Participants will:

Review legislation and policy related to rights and responsibilities

Discuss actions and avenues for advocacy and change

Discuss how faculty can advocate for and lead change from within their departments
Guiding questions:
How can we ensure the institution’s commitment and accountability to anti-discrimination?
What are the actions we can take toward dismantling institutional systems that perpetuate injustice?
