Have you ever wondered about the learning in your classroom? Have you wanted to have evidence that what you have observed with your learners is really happening? Simply put SoTL (or the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning) is research into teaching and learning that involves faculty (often in partnership with their learners) systematically examining how their learners learn and how they teach.

Join CELT for a three day SoTL research retreat where you and faculty colleagues from around campus will work to find out how SoTL fits into your classroom and discipline - from forming the research question - to examining the literature - to choosing methods - to ethics - to partnering with student researchers - to funding your research.

By the end of the retreat, via coaching and conversation, you will create the beginning of a SoTL research proposal and have identified a pathway to undertaking a SoTL research project.

Completing the registration form will enroll you in all three days. Each day will begin at 9 am and end at 4:00 pm.  Please bring a brown bag lunch on Day 1 and Day 2.  Snacks will be provided throughout the retreat, and lunch will be provided on Day 3.
