The Open Access movement works to provide access to information without financial or legal barriers. This means you can read academic articles without encountering paywalls or other obstacles. Publishing your research Open Access (OA) is also a way to give more people access to your research, as it is then freely available and able to be used instead of being behind publisher paywalls.
