The inclusion of diverse learners has become an objective of growing importance in the Canadian post-secondary sector.  With increased pressure on Accessibility Services and increasing student expectations regarding the provision of inclusive provisions within a mainstreamed whole class approach, the search for user-friendly resources and sustainable frameworks for the design of inclusive practices for instruction and assessment.  Universal Design for Learning is triggering interest in the sector as a model to shift mindsets and support instructors.

A new CoP is being launched at TRU to offer a monthly opportunity for faculty and staff to discuss the potential of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and the strategic ways to integrate it into our reflection on teaching an learning.  The CoP will offer all members a supportive environment to explore, reflect, and plan.

The CoP will meet monthly virtually and will be facilitated by Dr Frederic Fovet, School of Education.
