A Teaching Philosophy or Educational Philosophy Statement is a required component of your package(s) for tenure and/or promotion as well as performance review. This session will include a discussion of the components of a philosophy statement, strategies for composing one, a critique and discussion of some samples, and a guided writing exercise to begin exploring your own educational philosophy.
