Classroom assessment is grounded in a socio-cultural context where assessment happens in the dynamic intersections of classroom management, learning culture, pedagogy, curriculum and the diversity of students and teachers within classroom environment (Brookhart, 2004). This interactive workshop explores how to design and implement classroom assessments that are fair, inclusive and aligned with learning outcomes. Using a modern fairness framework in classroom assessment, this workshop provides faculty a chance to examine different aspects of fairness in their assessment tasks.

Please bring a detailed description of your course assessment tasks (with rubrics if applicable) to the workshop.
